{"id":38,"date":"2010-06-27T06:18:26","date_gmt":"2010-06-27T06:18:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.michaeladamsdo.com\/?page_id=38"},"modified":"2022-05-04T04:05:19","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T04:05:19","slug":"more-about-prolotherapy-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.michaeladamsdo.com\/?page_id=38","title":{"rendered":"Prolotherapy &#8211; 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How many injection treatments are needed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The average number of treatments necessary for healing is three.&nbsp; Some people may have adequate improvement after just the initial appointment and some may obtain 5 or more treatments.&nbsp; The reason that a person may proceed with more treatments is that they continue to improve after each series.&nbsp; The healing, in part, is determined and affected by the level of injury and the proper adherence to post-treatment instructions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Why other treatments may have failed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Physical therapy<\/strong> is primarily directed at the strengthening and stretching of the muscles following injury.&nbsp; This totally misses the real cause of the pain\u2026loose damaged ligaments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Joint manipulation<\/strong> often results in temporary help, but again because of the root problem being ligamentous laxity, the manipulated joint quickly goes out of position, and the pain returns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pain management<\/strong> also is only trying to minimize the pain and limitations of ligamentous damage, but offers no long-term help and does not deal with the root problem of ligament looseness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A personal note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many patients who are exposed to Prolotherapy have obtained information from literature found in alternative medicine newsletters, articles, and magazines.&nbsp; There are many very good treatment possibilities offered by alternative medical doctors that are not recognized by the traditional medical society.&nbsp; However, just because I am a Prolotherapist, I do not consider myself an alternative doctor.&nbsp; Prolotherapy is the only real treatment for damaged loose and unstable ligaments, whether viewed from an alternative or traditional perspective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Other sources of information on Prolotherapy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getprolo.com\">www.GetProlo.com<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/prolotherapy.com\">www.Prol0therapy.com<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How many injection treatments are needed?
